Objective of the Program:

To expose anyone from Professionals to freshers-to-become into the Basics of Lean Six Sigma, to enable them to develop and manage measurement-based strategy, which focuses on process improvement, using the tools known world over.

Further it could develop skills of factual decision making based on evidence of data in making solid improvements.

Profile of Tharaka Dayabandara

Tharaka has a BSc Engineering degree from University of Moratuwa, and an Associate Member of CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants). He is a Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt from Caterpillar USA. And he also holds a Masters in Business and Organisational Psychology.

At Present he serves as the General Manager – Corporate Continuous Improvement at United Tractors & Equipment. And He has experience in Automotive, Telco, Apparel, Finance & Banking industries, across various functions.

He was a Member of CIMA Country network panel, and has been in various advisory committees of CIMA. And he served in Professional affairs Committee, CPD committee of Institute and Mechanical Engineers Sectional Committee of Engineers Sri Lanka. He was also a part of Industry Advisory Committee of Mechanical & Production Engineering Department, University of Ruhuna.

And also he has represented Branding Committee, Employee Relations Committee and CXO Committee of [CIMA] Chartered Institute of Management Accountants Sri Lanka. And was also a member of IESL Toastmasters Club.

Assessment

  • Final examination (Summative assessment)
